Egypt trip, part 6: Luxor and Karnak

On the same day we started with the incredible hot-air balloon ride over the Luxor area, we visited Karnak Temple complex, the largest and oldest religious temple complex in the world.  In between we drank (local) doom juice, played ping-pong, and rode in a horse-drawn carriage, and afterward we smoked shisha pipes and took the overnight train back to Cairo.  And the temple itself was fascinating, especially the vast hypostyle hall, with 134 columns, the largest of which are 33 FEET in circumference and 80 FEET TALL!  The Notre-Dame Cathedral here in Paris could fit entirely within this hall, which is only a small part of the overall temple complex.

Wanna see proof?  Well, OK!
