Turkeys

We are still in Istambul, enjoying a turn of weather that's given us two days of 70ish sunshine. We have tomorrow still to enjoy before heading home to Paris on Friday. We hoped to keep you more updated, but we have been burning our candles at both ends, getting relatively early starts and not getting home (i.e., not getting the boys in bed) until 11ish most nights. Today we took a ferry trip to the Princes Islands - unbelievably the fare is 2.40 turkish lira, or about $1.80, each way - and spent the afternoon on Büyükada. We had a picnic, walked around, and took a phaton (carriage) ride before heading home. We plan to do some last-day shopping tomorrow at the Grand Bazaar - wish us luck! For now, off to bed. Should have been a while ago, and all the others are out cold, but with Chelsea and Liverpool in extra time I have to stay up just a couple minutes longer ...
