This is seriously the most touristy thing we've ever done. Our friends went with this company back in October and strongly recommended it. It should be really fun and interesting, though right now it feels intimidating and exhausting!
13/02 - Arrive in Cairo. Meet & Greet at the airport and private transfer to 4 star hotel with pool in the pyramids area. (Intercontinental Pyramids Park)
14/02 - B - Cairo. Free day.
15/02 - B - Cairo. Tour to the Pyramids & Sphinx at Gisa. Learn how papyrus is made. Evening Sound & Light show at the Pyramids. Overnight in hotel in Cairo
16/02 - B,L,D - Cairo. Morning visit to the Pharaonic living museum. Lunch by the Nile. Afternoon visit to the Egyptian Museum. Overnight sleeper train to Aswan (approx. 20.00-08.00)
17/02 - B,L - Arrive in Aswan. Morning camel trek to St. Simeon's monastery. Visit a local school and enjoy a Nubian lunch. Check into 4 star hotel with pool. Free afternoon to explore the markets or relax in the hotel. (Isis Island hotel)
18/02 - B,L,D - Aswan. Morning visit Philae Temple by boat (optional flight & tour to Abu Simbel). Board a felucca sailboat and sail towards Komombo. Overnight on board felucca.
19/02 - B,L - Morning sailing on the Nile. Early afternoon drive to Luxor (approx. 3 hours). Overnight in 4 star hotel with pool. (Pyramisa Isis hotel)
20/02 - B - Luxor. Early morning hot air balloon flight. Morning West Bank Tour (Valleys of the Kings, Queen Hatchepsut Temple, Medinat Habu temple)
21/02 - B,D - Luxor. Visit Karnak temple by horse carriage. Overnight sleeper train to Cairo (approx. 21.45-06.45).
22/02 - B,D - Arrive in Cairo. Transfer to 4 star city centre hotel. Afternoon visit to the Citadel for views over the city, a mosque, and the Khan-el-Khalili bazaar. Evening dinner cruise & show on the Nile. (Pyramisa hotel)
23/02 - B - Free time. Transfer to airport for departure
