We did in fact celebrate Christmas, as our last post promised, and then headed to Florence, Italy, for a week, returning early on January 1st. The trip was excellent, and the kids loved the sleeper trains down and back. (Adults? Eh.) Florence had plenty to entertain us for the week, from stunning art to glorious churches, from captivating streets to super gelato. It was chilly, but sunny, so we walked our legs off. Betsy's preparing the pictures to post, so you'll see more soon.
Betsy headed back to work on the 2nd, and the boys and I mostly recovered and caught up with friends that week. We did take advantage of the excellent exhibit on Arcimboldo. This one definitely pleased the adults and kids.

On Monday the 7th, we all went back to our normal routines, including work, school, shopping, sports, classes, etc. We eked through the week, managing to have some social evenings along the way. Today we took it easy (or as Calvin says, easy peasy lemon squeazy), and Carter played a football match. Seems it's getting late again, so I'll sign off. We miss you - did you miss us?

Sure did miss you a bunch. We are leaving for Israel on Tuesday afternoon.
Sitting here watching homeboy Peyton about to loose their chance for another Superbowl. He did not get much help from his defense. 58 seconds left and the Chrargers just got the ball.
Brother Eli plays tonight.
