dear folks -
paris is 6 hours ahead of baltimore and washington. when i wake at 7 am in paris, i am awake 6 hours ahead of my family and friends at home. and i go to sleep 6 hours before they do. nevertheless i have a 24 hour day just as everyone else does.
when i was a kid i rarely woke early. daddy would come by to get me out of bed 2-3 times every morning. though when easter baskets or christmas presents awaited my brothers, sisters and myself, i woke as early as the next kid. and couldn't wait for everyone to get up and moving.
now that i am waking 6 or 7 hours earlier than you all - o.k. to be more accurate i am getting up 2-3 hours later than 7 am, but i am still at least a couple hours earlier than even the early risers - i am antsy for all of you to wake up so we can play together. don't be surprised if it feels as if little fingers are prying open first one eye and then the other in the next 10 days.
i do miss watering the garden, lunches, shopping trips, dinners, and conversations with all of you. especially with victor.
love,
m
