Ship-ping

We all use the word shipping to generally mean sending stuff anywhere anyhow. Moving your household goods to Paris is however a time when shipping actually means to send by ship, across the ocean. We even know which ship! As in ...

Further to my e-mail dated January 19, the surface export for your household effects shipment is provisionally scheduled to depart from the port of Baltimore on February 22 on board the vessel "MSC Delhi", voyage #TN204E. Estimated time of arrival port of Le Havre is March 13.

Dunno about you, but that sure makes me want to find out more about the ship that will carry all our stuff ... so check this out!

MSC Delhi Calls With Containers
M/V MSC Delhi, part of the Mediterranean Shipping Company USA North Atlantic fleet, recently made its first call on Maryland’s Port of Baltimore, discharging and loading 900 containers at Seagirt Marine Terminal. The Liberian-flagged vessel, which was built in 2004, has a length of 214.26 meters and a breadth of 32.30 meters. It can reach a cruising speed of 21 knots. It is part of an MSC fleet that calls on Baltimore four times a week.
