Moving Day

After a luxurious 11 nights in our short-term apartment, in the beautiful 7th close to rue Cler and les Invalides, we move today to our more stable digs, a 15-minute walk over in the 15th. Betsy is walking Carter to school now (in the rain) and then we hand in the keys and catch a cab, the four of us and our 8 remaining bags. (Betsy and I made a midnight dash in the rain with 8 bags stuffed in a cab last night to make today more sane.) Alexandre comes to get the keys at 9:30. We don't yet have power at our new place, so blog/email status is uncertain. But we'll plan to stop in with our new friends at Fat Tire Bike Tours, an American-owned tour company down the rue (!) from Carter's school, to try to catch up a bit around 3:30 CET (9:30 ET) or so.

Oh, and we have a Paris phone number! It should work by late this afternoon our time, after the power and phone are hooked up. From the US you'd dial ...

011 33 1 56 58 14 77

... which is 011 (international access) 33 (France) 1 (Paris) and our 8-digit phone number.

TTFN ...
